Food was quite good but the cocktails were very poor. We ordered an Espresso Martini for 6.95 and were offered a very watery, very poor cocktail (photo attached).Upon complaining about the cocktail we were told that "we're not a cocktail place" and that the brewery that owns the pub dictates the recipe. We were not offered a refund or discount.The draft lagers are nice. Stick to those.
Looks great since the refit. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately two of the three real ales were out when we visited but we still had a great time and enjoyed the only one left. Seems popular with all ages and there is a huge carpark which makes it a great location.
Back to how it was before the Dante's era. They are dog friendly and have a mini Gin bar. Staff are friendly and helpful. For me it's always been my local and the Halfway House. So much better under the new regime.
A fantastic refurb has brought this place back to life. Fabulous food and service, great atmosphere and a beautiful pt of lees bitter to top it. Great place can't wait to go back .
Since refurbishment this pub has heart. Me and my friend absolutely love it here it a must to visit for a cheeky drink or some lovely food. Service is impeccable a massive well done to the brewery and all the staff.
