Enjoyed the food. Good portions, came quickly. Nice staff and reasonable pricing. Nice setting sat in the conservatory at the back. Lamb chops were great. The garlic bread starter with chilli and onions was brilliant.
Used to love it here. More so when Adrian and Emelda were hands on. It has been some time since we visited and we had an ok visit.Service was nowhere near as diligent as it used to be and very slow. Had to request wine menu 3 times, ended up finding one myself. It wasn't busy.Food was ok. Nothing more, nothing less.They do take Tastecard now, so that is good, as think we would have been unimpressed with the value for money if paying full price.Witnessed another couple who had a valid complaint. A lady with glasses dealt with it and not very well, wish also put us off. I do not like to complain, though it was not handled professionally by her and the couple who were complaining, told us that they would not be going back. They were regulars too.Maybe it was a one off. The place just seemed so much better under previous management. Shame as food, service and all use to be so much better.

Excellent! Attended this evening for a Christmas meal and catch up with former colleagues/friends. Had the set Christmas menu for 15:99, really lovely and great value for money.
Went for a meal with my fiance's family. With a table of 17 the staff had their work cut out for them. Despite the challenging people around the table they did a fantastic job. I thought the food was ok and was pleased to see a great selection of real ales and beers. Hopefully I can return sometime when I am not driving! BONUS TIP: go for the Camembert starter. Great value for money. My breaded goats cheese was not as good.
